This was my project in film school back in 1990. I became fascinated with the Sheepeater Indians when I learned of their mountain lifestyle as opposed to the Plains Indians who hunted buffalo on horseback.  The Sheepeaters lived in small bands high in the mountains away from the valley conflicts. They utilized the resources at their disposal, including Big Horn sheep for clothing and the ram horns to make their bows. We shot the footage on huge 3/4 inch tape cameras and edited tape to tape. The soundtrack is an original score by Tony Sacco and Karl Damiano. My dad narrated the film and the stunning chalk artwork was created by Dolores Dinsmore.  DJS
