Bozeman is a special place located on the western slope of the northern Rockies in a valley known as "the valley of flowers." Lewis & Clark traveled through the Gallatin valley in their epic trans-continental journey. Various native Americans including the Crow, Sioux, Shoshone and Blackfeet passed through and camped in the valley at various times. It is the home of the Museum of the Rockies and famous dinosaur paleontologist Jack Horner. Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks are a few miles to the south.
